91¹û¶³´«Ã½ cat lovers, kids who love animals and families looking for a beautiful unique experience, welcome to Sassy’s Cat Cafe and Adoption Centre in Felixstow on Payneham Road.
Last week we popped out for cake and coffee to meet Sharon and her adorable fluffy friends, some permanent residents and some rescues waiting for forever homes.
You can visit this super family friendly venue with or with out the intention of adopting, and simply pay a small entry fee to meet / play with the cats. You will additionally enjoy all of the quirky theming, coffee, snacks and light meals. Our kids loved the cupcakes, the icing was to die for.
In addition to the fifteen or so cats in the enclosure at any one time, there are board games, colouring, books and warm friendly staff. For those interested in adoption, the cost is around$180 and we are told that over 200 cats have now been adopted so far.
Kids are able to give the cats treats and assist the staff feeding the cats. There is plenty of opportunity to hand our a few pats and some much enjoyed attention too. We have to say, these are some very well cared for, happy animals, looked after by the most dedicated and doting staff.
Sassy’s Cat Cafe love hosting whimsical cat events and if you follow along with them on social media. you can keep up to date with every thing from cat yoga to cat meditation. What a unique place indeed, there’s always something happening here to make you smile. Don’t be surprised if you leave with a heart full of love and a new feline companion in tow, as the adoption center is the perfect place to find a forever friend!

Funds go directly to the fur babies in order to provide food, pay for vet bills and other essentials to keep them happy and healthy.

Green Monkeys is a Portlife Church volunteer run Community Play Café where, for a gold coin donation, you can bring your pre-school age kids along to play on their awesome 2 storey, indoor, netted playground. Open Mondays and Thursdays during the school term from 9:30am - 11:30am, the Green Monkeys program operates similarly to a playgroup. They love to support parents in our community by making a safe place to hang out and drink some delicious coffee while your kids play. Designed to suit children under the age of 6, the playground features two slides, a tunnel, a helicopter cockpit, spinners, punching bags, a swing and more. A toddler play mat and toys are also available for younger kids. Parents do need to bring socks for their children to utilise the play equipment, however they have some available for purchase if needed. Barista made coffee and light snacks are also available for purchase in the cafe at very reasonable prices. Step back in time on a trip down memory lane with this relaxed, unique family experience. After a leisurely drive to Montacute in the 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ Hills, our carriage awaited us by a charming old stone building on Institute Road, creating a picturesque scene that set the tone for the entire journey. We were warmly greeted by the owner, Libby, her canine sidekick, Eddie, and the most beautifully natured horse, Stella - a delightful trio indeed! Our youngest passenger, at age of four, was initially a little nervous. However, Libby's friendly manner and casual conversation instantly put her at ease. As we made ourselves comfortable, we meandered along a quiet road, taking in the stunning views of rolling hills, fruit trees, working farms, and orchards, all while enjoying the sweet rhythm of Stella's clip-clopping hooves. Keep an eye out for wildlife, from kangaroos to koalas snoozing above in gum trees. The kids, in particular, loved their special turn "driving" up front, eagerly asking Libby questions about Stella and the passing scenery. The 45-minute ride was the perfect amount of time, although, if we had traded the kids for a bottle of champagne, we might've just extended the adventure all day long!…
