Here’s To Strength Community Wellness Hub is Australia’s first one stop self care experience! Their mission is to bridge the gap of access to vital healthcare, wellness and welfare services through their community wellness hub, pantry and support fund initiative. Their vision is to simplify self care and prevent health and wellbeing decline by replicating their solution focused service Australia wide. They aim to end the stigma around mental health, invisible illness, positive body advocacy and suicide prevention.
As a charity they operate three key initiatives:
Their Community Wellness Hubs & Villages – Open 7 days a week from 7am – 5pm. Their flagship pilot site in Aldinga provides a welcoming environment and self-care eco-system where individuals can enjoy a cup of coffee or some brunch, shop for a gift in their local collaborative retail store, engage with therapy animals, hang out with friends/family or connect with essential healthcare, wellness and crisis support services onsite, free from the barriers of traditional overwhelming clinical settings.
Their 24/7 Community Pantries This space removes barriers of access to free food and hygiene items by offering a discreet, outdoor, accessible space where anyone can collect food or self care items throughout the day or night, working towards establishing strong food security within their region without assessments or time restraints.
A Community Support Fund Providing financial assistance for individuals in hardship, partially/fully subsidising private appointment fees up to three times a year to improve mental health and wellbeing without long waiting times.
Over the last three years, they have been a lifeline for over 35,000 individuals and families facing mental health challenges, financial hardship or social isolation. Their model essentially acts as a funnel which creates stepping stones that lead individuals to their own unique healing journey.

South Australia is blessed with stunning family friendly beaches, and scattered around the metro and regional areas of 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ are beaches you can drive on! An iconic South Australian family day out, taking the car onto the beach for a day (and filling the car with sandy feet on the way out) is one of our favourite things to do on a hot 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ day. We are blessed as one of only two states where beach driving is unregulated, so respecting the environment and reducing our impact on local wildlife is important for this to remain an activity our kids can enjoy well into the future. Most local councils will have rules specific to their beaches and rules for driving. Not all beaches are suitable for all vehicles and some will be 4x4 access only. Conditions will vary dramatically so before heading out, check local council, tide and weather guides for conditions that may impact your day out. Aim to drive at low tide and allow enough time to return before the turn of the tide. For up to the minute weather forecasts, jump on the Bureau of Meteorology page and for daily fire warnings, the CFS will have you…
