With the warm weather of spring and summer approaching, their new kids’ menu is a tasty addition that’s sure to please all. Think delicious options that are both nutritious and fun, making it easy for parents to relax while their little ones indulge in a meal made just for them. Our top three picks were the kids omelette, ricotta pancakes and dinosaur nuggets! Honestly, I think you can pick the cafe’s who have kids them selves right? This is a beautifully run family business.
So whether you’re kicking off your beach day or just need a little pick-me-up after a morning of family activities, their quality brews healthy treats and hearty meals will leave you energized and ready for whatever the day brings.
This playground has been recently upgraded and includes some great new features! Flying fox (ideal for 3+, it has a bit of a jolt at the end, so make sure little hands can hold on) Baby and toddler swings, plus "big kids" swing and swinging basket 2 playground structures, one aimed more at 1-3 year olds and one for 3+ A 'spinning wheel' with 3 grip bars that the kids spent AGES on. A big hit! Key features we also liked were... Bike path running from Glenelg (or further south if you're keen!) to Henley (or further north if you're very fit!) Lots of space to park Plenty of grass to enjoy a picnic upon and some benches to rest, breast feed etc. Easy access directly to beautiful West beach Things to note: The toilets are located a short walk from the playground, which is something to think about if you have multiple children or a toilet training toddler who needs to go "NOW!" Make sure you pack hats as there's minimal shade over the flying fox, swings and grassy area

Plus, does anything make your kids behave better than the promise of an ice cream at the end of the day? We didn't think so. Now for the big question 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ ice cream fans: cup or cone?
Shelly's Kiosk is a light, bright and vibrant beachside 'must-visit' for 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ families seeking a quality bite to eat with a side of beach adventure. With a very deliberate focus on feeding kids well (hello Toddler Tapas Menu), the beautifully restored venue has held on to glimpses of 'Noonies' from days gone by. You can now enjoy the hospitality here seven days a week from 7am right through to an evening meal or sunset cocktail, and the kids are going to LOVE it. We are so thrilled to see what was always an iconic part of the Semaphore community redeveloped and reopen in 2025 and still going strong today! The magnificent upgraded Semaphore South playground and iconic Semaphore Steam Train (which runs on every Sunday + public holidays in October to April + daily in school holidays October to April except Tuesdays and Thursdays) are smack bang on the doorstep too. This place really does have it all going on. This charming kiosk serves as the perfect pit stop for both kids and parents. With the sound of waves lapping nearby and the smell of fresh sea air and coffee, it’s a great place to kick off your day with…
