We love this reserve as it is awesome for all ages and has such a variety of things to do. As this reserve is quite big it features 2 play equipment areas. BONUS .The original play equipment space is multi coloured and aimed generally for the older kids but still includes a few pieces for the toddlers.
This section features swings, 3 slippery dips, lots and lots of awesome climbing equipment to keep the kids challenged ( and hopefully accident free), a mini flying fox and games. This area does NOT have any shade. Just beside this area you will also find a skate park along with half basketball court for a mini game or to just shoot some hoops.
The second play equipment area located on the other side of the reserve is more suitable for the toddlers and kindy kids. This area has been added on and has the wooden look with a splash of colour amongst it. Featuring 2 slippery dips, swing set including baby swing , some climbing equipment including a rope net , small tunnel, games and my favourite the big green car. This area is mostly sheltered and is close to the tennis courts.
As if this wasn’t enough. To make this reserve even better it has a lovely water feature with ducks and wildlife. There is onsite parking , toilets ,BBQ facilities with shelter. It has a huge grass area to kick the footy, play cricket ,dance or just run wild on. Unfortunately this park has NO fence but is quite set back from the road
If I were you I would pack a picnic and some bread for the ducks and spend a few hours here. This play space has so much to offer for a variety of ages and has a lovely vibe to it
In need of a coffee there is a coffee shop approx 5 min walk away in the Fulham Shopping Centre ( corner of Tapleys Hill Rd and Valetta Rd )

Find it at: Military Road, Henley Beach A lovely little fenced off local toddler playground nestled in the beach side suburb of Henley Beach. This playground has nice modern equipment including lots of climbing steps , a tunnel for the kids to crawl through , a groovy little slippery dip, some bouncy animal pieces and a swing set. Our favourites would be the little merry go round along with the trampoline in the ground ( its pretty cool). Don't worry it has lots of squishy protection around the outside just in case the kids bounce off . The park is surrounded by a lovely grass area and has lots of trees for the kids to play amongst. Centred in the middle of the reserve is a picnic table with shelter but unfortunately this park doesn't have a BBQ,toilets or shade. In need of food or coffee? There are lots of options in Henley Beach with either a stop at Henley Sq beforehand or Yankee Café or Dulwich Bakery are both on Henley Beach Road and not far from the reserve.

First thing you notice when you pull up to this reserve is the brightly coloured modern play equipment along with the huge grassed area. Whilst the play equipment isn’t huge it has been well thought out to cater for a few different ages. The toddlers and smaller children can enjoy the swings which include a baby swing, slippery dip, bouncy ladybird and small climbing wall. The bigger kids can use the giant climbing spider web that sits a little away from the the play equipment or even enjoy a game of noughts and crosses which can be found on the play equipment. Once everyone has had enough of the equipment there is plenty of grassed area to run around on, kick balls or just enjoy a family picnic . There is also a tennis court as part of the Golflands reserve. Whilst the area near the play equipment has a fence the entire reserve isn’t totally fenced off. Unfortunately there is no shade over the play equipment but several trees you could utilise to sit under for shade if you stopped for a picnic or BBQ .
