If your slime is too runny or sticks to your fingers too much, trust me keep adding more boric acid solution until it gets to the right texture. We use Renu contact solution but as long as it has boric acid it would work.

This is an awesome recipe. I followed it to a tee except I replaced the borax/contact solution with slime miracle solution. It’s made by Elmer too and is sold at spotlight. I basically added a third of that bottle to your recipe and voila, perfect fluffy slime. Thanks so much Roxy!

In reply to Andrea. We just made it a second time. This time we used more glue and a little less shaving cream and foaming soap. It seems that the more glue you use, the less borax mixture you need. Plus I also think that a little more moisturizer makes it stretchier. This slime recipe is a total WINNER!! My slime obsessed sons love it (and we’ve tried loads of recipes!). This is the BEST WE’VE FOUND! Thank you so much. ????????????????????????????????????????

We made this recipe and it worked out great! We just kept slowly adding the borax and water until it was right.
I wonder if those who said it was way too running just tipped the foaming soap in rather than pumping it in fluffy? I think this would make a difference.

In reply to Sad Slimeless Family. By the way, we only added about 3-4 tsps of the water/borax solution to our mixture. Not the full cup of water. Was that maybe the problem?

In reply to Sad Slimeless Family. Hi guys. That's strange because we only just made it again the other day and it worked for us again no dramas. I am no expert BUT I do think the brands that you use can make a difference and I have also found that sometimes you need to add a bit more of one thing on particular days. Maybe the temperature of the water, or the brand of glue makes a difference. Half the fun is experimenting until you get your perfect combo.

We tried this recipe twice, it doesn’t work. Tried adding lots of borax and corn flour when it was too runny (I really think dissolving 3-4 tsps in 1 cup of water is way too much water). Now we feel bad we’re adding mountains of crap slime to land fill…
