Brought to you by the City of 91¹û¶³´«Ã½, this enchanting display showcases tiny masterpieces encompassing drawing, photography, ceramics, sculpture, and more, in miniature galleries scattered throughout the historic and picturesque Light Square/Wauwi.
As you wander through the park, you’ll discover fun details and thoughtful craftsmanship in the tiny artworks. Each piece tells a story, and offers an opportunity to enjoy very intimate art viewings, where the tiny artworks have a big impact in a compact and unexpected setting. Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply curious, Tiny ArtWorks promises a captivating journey through the power of miniature art, set in one of 91¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s most cherished green spaces.
Light Square/Wauwi is one of 91¹û¶³´«Ã½â€™s six city squares. Wauwi was the wife of Kadlitpina (Kaurna Elder), and Colonel William Light (1786-1839) was the first Surveyor-General of South Australia responsible for the development of the 1837 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ Plan. This vibrant parkland is a cultural and recreational hub, offering a serene escape amidst the urban landscape, and the perfect backdrop for this captivating installation.
